Best of Show
Finovate is known for curating innovative technology showcases. Our unique application process and principles mean every demo on the Finovate stage is worthy of your attention; yet there are some demos that have a way of creating a special connection with the audience. And it’s our audience of financial institutions, credit unions, SMBs and fintech experts who vote for their top demos and highly-coveted Best of Show awards.
Some of the most recognizable names in fintech and tech debuted at Finovate and took home this honor. These are companies that grew into magical unicorns, were acquired in game-changing deals, raised jaw-dropping funding rounds, and more. For details on these deals, visit our blog.
How is Best of Show determined?
Best of Show is awarded at each Finovate event to the best demos as voted by the audience. Attendees vote each day for the best technology among that day’s roster (demo companies and their guests’ votes do not count). Demos with the highest percentage of total votes win.
What’s the significance of Best of Show?
The winning demos represent the most current and interesting developments in fintech, but they also show where the audience’s priorities lie at any given moment. By tracking the content of the winners, you can see how the industry has evolved over the years, and where the most pressing problems have been for the bankers, financial institutions and investors who make up our voting bloc.
What do the winners get?
Winning Best of Show can serve as a major springboard for a company – many of the winners have gone on to do amazing things since appearing on our stage, and a lot of them cite the trophy they won at Finovate as a real turning point in their company trajectory.
Winners receive recognition on Finovate’s blog, e-magazine, and social media channels, dedicated podcast episode with Greg Palmer, VP of Strategy, and sparkling trophy for their (home) office.
