Cash Vesting Plans are more powerful than a traditional bonus as they vest over time allowing the employee to be rewarded for their continued contribution.
The cash plan functions like a 0% interest loan allowing the employee to draw upon ANY amount at ANY time, regardless of vesting. The employer pays down the loan at each vesting milestone while the employee is still employed at the company.
This gives the employee early access to funds for whatever they need in life.
