Bank of Queensland’s Sandstone developed a mobile banking solution that won consecutive AMBER Awards in 2009 (Best Mobile Commerce Solution) and 2010 (Best Mobile Banking Solution), defeating banking leaders such as CBA, NAB, Westpac, and ANZ along the way. How they describe their product/innovation: Sandstone is showcasing its ‘next generation’ consumer banking solution combining internet and mobile banking, personal financial management, and loan origination capabilities to form a powerful end-to-end customer acquisition and retention tool. Building on the “anytime, anywhere” capabilities of emerging tablet and smart phone platforms, we will show how consumers can interact with their bank for a range of integrated banking services. For example, we will demonstrate the customer’s experience of finding and purchasing a new home, including property suggestions based on their savings, property selection, valuation, credit assessment, and loan approval – all in real-time from any device, anywhere and anytime.
