How they describe themselves: FutureFlow blends monetary economics and computer science to map out the movement of money in the financial system. We enable financial institutions and regulators to collaborate, while protecting customer confidentiality. Our software compiles the topology of the movement of money in the system that extends beyond each individual institution’s immediate field of visibility, with applications into fighting electronic financial crime, economic policymaking, and digital consumer research and marketing.

How they describe their product/innovation: BigData Analytics platform that monitors the movement of money in the financial system. The technology can be thought of as “cookies for money:” it enables the analysis of money from the perspective of flow, rather than stock, and reveals how money moves across accounts of multiple banks without breaching client confidentiality.  The system enables the understanding of where the money in each transaction has been before, where it will be in the future, how quickly it has moved, what goods, services, or geographical locations it has covered etc.
