NexBank, the banking subsidiary of NexBank Capital and the largest privately held bank in Texas, has teamed up with intelligent cash management service MaxMyInterest (Max).
Designed for individual investors and financial advisors, Max enables them to dynamically allocate their cash among multiple bank accounts in order to maximize returns and secure greater aggregate FDIC insurance coverage. Max users also benefit from one-click fund transfers and consolidated tax reporting. The partnership with NexBank means that consumers can open NexBank MaxMyInterest Money Market Accounts, high-yield accounts with competitive rates that are available exclusively through Max.
“We are proud to partner with NexBank to help expand its reach to all 50 states,” Max Head of Bank Partnerships Rachel Bourne said. “Together with NexBank, we can help clients earn competitive rates while keeping their deposits safely within the FDIC insurance limits in their own bank accounts.”
With assets of $14 billion and a charter that dates back to 1922, NexBank provides institutional banking, commercial banking, mortgage banking, and personal banking services to institutional clients, financial institutions, corporations, and consumers throughout the US. Named one of the country’s top mortgage lenders in the Scotsman Guide’s 2026 Top Mortgage Lenders rankings, NexBank completed a $150 million common equity capital raise earlier this month.
Founded in 2013, Max is a service offered by Six Trees Capital LLC. The service provides intelligent cash management solutions for individual investors and their financial advisors, enabling them to earn competitive yields on their cash holdings. Max’s technology allows customers to reallocate funds among their checking and high-yield savings accounts so they can benefit from the highest available yields while keeping funds safe in FDIC-insured partner bank accounts. Banking services are provided by participating FDIC-insured banks such as NexBank.
Earlier this year, Max teamed up with private commercial bank Fieldpoint Private to launch Benchmark, a dedicated private banking platform for independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and their clients. Benchmark provides advisors with a full suite of private banking services for high-net-worth clients, including high-performance checking and high-yield savings accounts that work together via advanced auto-rebalance technology. It also offers out-of-the-box workflow connectivity with major client relationship management platforms such as Redtail and Wealthbox, as well as planning and reporting platforms such as eMoney and Morningstar. Benchmark includes bespoke private client lending, as well as comprehensive commercial banking and lending through Fieldpoint Private.
“The significance of Benchmark is that, for the first time, access to private banking can be genuinely embedded in the independent advisor’s daily workflow, rather than just another referral,” Fieldpoint Private CEO and President Rodney Whitwell said. “Advisors can assist with Benchmark enrollment, invite clients into the process, and then view balance data within the financial planning and performance reporting tools advisors use every day.”
Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, Fieldpoint Private is a private commercial bank that directly serves clients in the New York metro area. It offers commercial and personal banking services, as well as trust services and wealth transfer planning. Serving the independent advisory community has been a focus since the company exited its own proprietary wealth advisory business in 2021.
“Benchmark fills a massive gap in the market, enabling RIAs to better compete with legacy wirehouses,” Max Founder and CEO Gary Zimmerman said. “We’re proud to expand our collaboration with Fieldpoint Private to power an innovative private banking solution designed to meet the needs of advisors’ most discerning clients.”
