Bank of America says it’s issued the U.S. Winter Olympics team a Visa prepaid card that team members will use for their daily expenditures. BofA is the official bank sponsor of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team. (Contact: Bank of America, 617-434-7314; Visa USA, 415-932-2384)

The Clearing House Payments Company LLC’s SVPCO – Electronic Clearing Services unit says the Federal Reserve is now sending and receiving check images via the SVPCO-Image Payments Network. The Fed first linked to the Image Payments Network in February 2005, but sent only images. The addition of two-way traffic from the Fed means that the bulk of the nation’s check-image traffic is going over SVPCO wires. In January, SVPCO’s average daily dollar value was $4.1 billion, an 18 percent jump over December 2005. (Contact: The Clearing House Payments Company LLC, 212-613-9896)

Corillian Corp. says that the $12 billion, Raleigh, N.C.-based State Employees’ Credit Union is using Corillian’s Fraud Detection System and Intelligent Authentication software products. (Contact: Corillian Corp., 503-629-3770)

Diebold Inc. says it sold about 300 self-service bulk cash recycle machines to the Bank of China. Diebold says that to date, it’s sold the Bank of China about 1,000 units of such products, but that this order is an addition. (Contact: Diebold Inc., 330-490-5562)

Discover Financial Services LLC has a deal with Enterprise Rent-A-Car for Enterprise to honor Discover’s Cashback Bonus program, which doubles bonuses when they’re redeemed at participating retailers. (Contact: Discover Financial Services LLC, 832-214-0111)

Fidelity National Information Services says it has a three-year exclusive deal with Official Payments Corp. to issue Visa prepaid debit cards to Official Payments customers. (Contact: Fidelity National Information Services, 904-854-5043)

GE Consumer Finance says its Canadian unit, GE Money, is buying Hudson’s Bay Co.’s private label credit card portfolio and some related financial services assets. Following the deal’s close, 650 Hudson’s Bay employees will transfer to GE, and GE will provide credit marketing and analytic support, credit servicing and customer care for Hudson’s Bay’s 3.1 million cardholders. Payment Data Systems Inc. says it signed a contract with Shelby Systems Inc. to allow church members to make online donations and to pay for ancillary church services like camp registrations and adult seminars.
