Who's got game? According to the judges of this year's LearnX Impact Awards, that would be BankersLab.

An innovator in developing learning solutions for banks, BankersLab won the gold award for best game or simulation at the annual competition sponsored by the LearnX Foundation. The prize-winning solution was CreditLab, a training resource that helps players in a corporate classroom setting test their credit risk management and lending skills.

Michelle Katics, BankersLab CEO and founder said, "Our goal was to create a 21st century teaching tool for retail bankers that want to improve their skills in a profound way."
BankersLab specializes in leveraging simulation technology and gamification to make it easier  for financial professionals to learn and perfect their craft. The company's solutions, ScoringLab, CollectionLab, and CreditLab, feature simulation gaming software, training curricula, case studies and more. Risk managers and analysts, as well as collections, finance, portfolio, and operations managers in 25 countries have taken advantage of BankersLab's training technology.

The non-profit LearnX Foundation was established to promote innovation in workplace learning and education. Regionally focused in the Asia Pacific, the organization will present BankersLab with its award at LearnX's upcoming event in October in Melbourne, Australia.

Based in Castle Rock, Colorado, BankersLab is an international company with offices in Singapore, London, Dubai, Seoul and Cape Town, South Africa. The company demoed ScoringLab at FinovateAsia 2012. See the presentation here.

    • understand how payment behavior affects their credit options

FICO brings 57 years of experience in understanding how a consumer's behavior impacts their credit risk. The new app helps it bring that knowledge to consumers with insights into how to improve their financial standing.

BankersLab, the company that gamifies training for bankers, recently launched a new Android app, Banc-it: Scoring Edition.

The app supports ScoringLab, a training product intended to help bankers improve their knowledge of credit risk scores. The gamification aspect of the app increases user engagement for an effective training experience.

Banc-it, the new app, tests users' knowledge of:

    • Credit scoring data
    • Credit score usage
    • Model development
    • Credit monitoring

The app, priced at $4.99, is available for Android devices in the Google Play store. BankersLab will release the iOS version next month.

To learn more about BankersLab, watch its FinovateAsia 2012 demo.

Then, BankersLab showcased ScoringLab:

"ScoringLab is simulation-based classroom training for bankers that addresses the usage of credit scores in retail banks. In ScoringLab, players are pitted against each other to operate virtual banks. That's right - flight simulators for bankers! Although scores are used globally, it can be difficult to diagnose and understand customer trends, shifts, and impacts to model efficacy.

First, players must make portfolio underwriting decisions, and as the portfolio matures, manage the effects of external influences on customer behavior and model performance. The challenge is to run the most profitable bank with the most satisfied customers. May the best team win!"

Get peace of mind knowing that your company's financial mobile app is secure. Metaforic technology stops malware and hackers in their tracks. See live, an attempted malware attack on a mobile app and the technology that stops it.

Innovation type: Security

With fewer people going to branches due to the convenience of internet, it weakens banks' ability to acquire, develop a face-to-face personal relationship and recommend relevant products to their customers.

Users are also spending very little time on internet banking due to a very transactional "touch-and-go" behavior. So how do you get the right customized products to the right customer at a time when they most need it?

Innovation type: Marketing, PFM, rewards

Thumbnail image for SandstoneLogo.jpg
Sandstone will be showcasing its 'next generation' consumer banking solution combining internet and mobile banking, personal financial management and loan origination capabilities to form a powerful end-to-end customer acquisition and retention tool.

Building on the "anytime, anywhere" capabilities of emerging tablet and smart phone platforms, Sandstone will show how consumers can interact with their bank for a range of integrated banking services.

For example, we will demonstrate the customer's experience of finding and purchasing a new home, including property suggestions based on their savings, property selection, valuation, credit assessment and loan approval - all in real time from any device

Wipro will debut its Wipro SmartOffers solution at FinovateAsia 2012. The innovation provides bank customers with Digital Offers which can be redeemed at merchants for availing benefits/discounts at the time of purchase. These offers may be merchant-or-bank-funded at the bank's preference.

The solution is different from the aggregator-centric models currently in practice in the market, championing the bank centric offer model. Wipro's solution gives the power back to the banks, by making them the center of the Digital Offers Universe. By making the entire offer landscape bank-centric, banks reap the benefits hereto left for aggregators.
