  1. Videos

    1. Adding Videos:
      1. Click on “Videos”(1) to see the submenu categories.
      2. Choose “Add New”(2) from either the submenu categories, or click on the “Add New” button on the Videos screen.

    2. Title: (3) Click on “Enter title here” field and enter the title of the company.
    3. Visual Editor Area: (4) Add information about the company, their product and the video. (follow how other videos are already entered, i.e. (breaks (br tags) are important).
    4. Video Shows: (5) Select the show for the video (dropdown menu).
    5. Video Show Year: (6) Enter the year for the video in YYYY format (example: 2014)
    6. Show Location: (7) Enter the show location. Example: London, England
    7. Video Alpha Categories: (8) Check the correct box for the video’s title so it will show up in the correct alphabetical category. Do not ever utilize the “Add New Video Alpha Category” option, as the site’s video section is set up to work with these exact categories.
    8. Attributes: This feature does not affect the display, which is set to display alphabetically. (9)
    9. Featured Image: Upload the image for the video. (10)
    10. Compression: Use compression when creating the logo (through Photoshop etc.), or use the following sites:
      1. First: lossy compression: https://tinypng.com
      2. Then: lossless compression: https://imageoptim.com

    12. Best in Show: (11) Check the box to add the Video to the Best in Show category.
    13. Video Embed Code: (12) Enter the video embed code from Wistia. Please only use the information for the src attribute (i.e: .//fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/dby1snzxpi)
    14. Company Details: (13) Enter the Company Details that appear on the right side of the video. (follow how other videos are already entered, i.e. (breaks (br tags) are important)
    15. Key Stats: (14) Add the Key Statistics. (follow how other videos are already entered, i.e. (breaks (br tags) are important)
    16. Add Stats: (15) Click on the “Add Stats” button and the Add Stats input section appears.
      1. Key Stat Category: (16) Enter a Key Stat Category (i.e. Key Executives, Key Board Members etc.) (follow how other videos are already entered, i.e. (breaks (br tags) are important)
      2. Key Stat Participant: (17) Enter participant names, or any other information for this category. Click on the “Add Participant” button if adding more than one participant. (follow how other videos are already entered, i.e. (breaks (br tags) are important)
      3. Add Stats: Click on the “Add Stats” button again if you’d like to add another category section.
    17. Make sure to always “Publish” in order to save the new entry, or “Update” for changes/additions to the original entry.

  2. Apply to Demos Page

    1. Most of this page is edited as a typical WordPress page (the title, the visual editor area etc.) link
    2. There is a Custom Field at the bottom called “Demo Email and Images” (1) which includes an image representing the show a prospective presenter might choose to apply to and the image’s email link. To edit or add to this section:
      1. Demo Image: (2) Mouse over the current image to edit it or delete it (the symbols to do so will appear).
      2. Demo Email: (3) Enter the email that the image should link to for that that demo/show.
      3. Add New Demo: (4) Click on the “Add Image” button to add another row containing an input area for another demo/show image and it’s email link.
    3. Make sure to always “Publish” in order to save the new entry, or “Update” for changes/additions to the original entry.

  3. Blog Page

    1. The Blog is just a typical WordPress page – there is no editing necessary of the Blog page, as the content is made up of the posts. To add and edit blog posts, follow the normal WordPress blogging protocol (link).
  4. Events Page

    1. There is no need to ever edit this page as it just redirects to the home page.
  5. Home (editing):

    1. Title: (1) doesn’t show on the website page or navigation menu on the front end.
    2. Visual Editor: (2) It is being utilized for the large white text in the header banner on the left. Should be edited carefully if at all.
    3. Home Logos (editing/adding): (3) This is the section where you can edit or add the conference logos and links on the header banner. Each row consists of three parts:
      1. Logo: (4) The image of the logo is edited/added/deleted here. Mouseover image and click on appropriate icon link.
      2. Conference Link: (5) Enter the link to the conference (event) page.
      3. Divider: (6) Check the box to add a divider if grouping/separating event from each the other(s).
      4. Add Logo: (7) Click on the “Add Logo” button to add a row to add in a new logo.

    4. Home Conference Intro: (8) Enter/edit the introductory text for the conferences.
    5. Home Conferences: (9) This section contains images and text that promote the conferences. The content is entered by row in the following sections:
      1. Home Conference Image: (10) Upload the image here.
        1. Specs for company logo images: 176 x 139 pixels.
        2. Compression: Use compression when creating the logo (through Photoshop etc.), or use the following sites:
          1. First: lossy compression: https://tinypng.com
          2. Then: lossless compression: https://imageoptim.com
      2. Home Conference Description: (11) Use this video editor to enter image-related descriptive text.
      3. Add Home Page Conference: (12) Click on the “Add Home Page Conference” button to add a new row/conference.

    6. Conference Description Info: (13) Enter the conference descriptions. These are the large text descriptions located in the section beneath the image descriptions.
      1. There are two video editors in this section (14) which are formatted to be two text areas floating side by side. This section should be edited carefully, as the length and formatting of the text entered will affect how it lays out on the website’s front end.
      2. Add Description: (15) Click on the “Add Description button to add another visual editing are, but understand this could throw off the formatting unless replacing a description area if the area was/needed to be deleted.
    7. Home Conference Testimonial Intro: (16) Enter testimonial intro here.
    8. Home Testimonials: The home testimonials are entered in this section.
      1. Home Testimonial Image: (17) Upload the company’s logo.
        1. Specs for company logo images: 133 x 67 on a transparent or white background
        2. Compression: Use compression when creating the logo (through Photoshop etc.), or use the following sites:
          1. First: lossy compression: https://tinypng.com
          2. Then: lossless compression: https://imageoptim.com
      2. Home Testimonial Quote: (18) Enter the quote.
      3. Home Testimonial Author: (19) Enter the author.
      4. Home Testimonial Company: (20) Enter the author’s company.
      5. Add Home Page Testimonial: (21) Click on the “Add Home Page Testimonial” button to create another row for input.
    9. Signups: (22) These contain codes/ids for the signup forms. These will rarely need updating, and should be only updated by an authorized administrator.
    10. Make sure to always “Publish” in order to save the new entry, or “Update” for changes/additions to the original entry.

  6. Contact (editing):

    1. Most of this page is edited as a typical WordPress page (the title, the visual editor area etc.) link. There are some Custom Fields after the Visual Editor which include:
      1. Contact Emails: Edit the current emails as you would typically edit any text. To add a new contact email row, click on the “Add Row” button (2) and fill out accordingly.
      2. Contact Phones: Edit the current emails as you would typically edit any text. To add a new contact email row, click on the “Add Row” button (4) and fill out accordingly.
      3. Mailing Address: (5) Enter the mailing address.
    2. Make sure to always “Publish” in order to save the new entry, or “Update” for changes/additions to the original entry.
