How they describe themselves: The Currency Cloud makes international trade and cross-currency business management easier than ever for businesses. We leverage the Cloud to deliver a low cost, simple and automated international payments platform that transforms the world of foreign exchange and currency management. Businesses can access our capabilities through our own online applications, XBP Client and XBP Control, through their own apps and services via our XBP Connect API, or through a 3rd party service, such as an accounting solutions provider or an IFA, that has embedded our capabilities within their customer application or is using our white-label platform to extend an international payments offering to their business customers.

How they describe their product/innovation: We are showcasing the power of integrated international payments for businesses. Accounting solutions are ubiquitous in business, yet the break in the workflow when having to make international payments to suppliers is inefficient, time consuming and prone to operational risk. Using The Currency Cloud’s XBP Connect API, the first truly effective applications that enable international payments to be managed directly from Sage and Salesforce.com are being launched at FinovateEurope 2013. The applications enable a business to initiate and manage their international payments just as they would their payments to domestic suppliers – directly from their ledger. Paying international suppliers becomes significantly easier and lower in cost and the business accounting function drastically more productive.
