Tradeshift Brings in $15 Million of a $57 Million Equity Round

Electronic invoicing solutions company, Tradeshift, announced it recently brought in $15 million in equity funding.

This round is the first installment of a $57 million round. According to the San Francisco-based company this equity sale is, “part of something much bigger,” though it did not provide further detail.

Tradeshift demonstrated at FinovateEurope 2013 in London where it debuted its Instant Payments feature.

Tradeshift Adds Features to “Humanize” Project Workflow

Online invoicing startup Tradeshift announced updates to its platform yesterday that extend its reach beyond just e-invoicing.

The new update, called Collaborative Workflow, will enable users to collaborate on tasks and automate workflow, making Tradeshift a more holistic platform for businesses. It attempts to “humanize” the workflow process by:

1) taking the platform mobile
2) automating repetitive tasks
3) allowing multiple users to collaborate on a single project, giving each user a profile picture to associate with their name.

The Currency Cloud, Tradeshift, and Intuit Form Partnership

International FX payments service, The Currency Cloud today announced on its blog that it will partner with three other fintech companies, including e-invoicing company Tradeshift and SMB financial services company Intuit.

Through this partnership, the three will create an all-inclusive platform for TradeshiftLogo.jpg small businesses to better maintain cross-border relationships. The platform will focus especially on buyer-supplier relationships.

The terms of this deal have not been disclosed.

The Currency Cloud demonstrated at FinovateEurope last month, and its demo video will be posted here in a few weeks. Tradeshift demoed at FinovateEurope 2012, and Intuit demoed at Finovate 2009.
