CardFlight Launches SwipeSimple Customers to Support Card Data Management

CardFlight Launches SwipeSimple Customers to Support Card Data Management

Merchants using CardFlight’s payment acceptance solution, SwipeSimple, now have an easy way to build customer databases and manage card data on file: SwipeSimple Customers.

CardFlight CEO and founder Derek Webster said the technology “reflects our team’s commitment to provide the right payment acceptance tools for an even broader range of merchants.” SwipeSimple Customers is available via both online dashboard and mobile app, and will give merchants the ability to schedule payments – including installments and subscriptions – store credit card data on file, and charge customers using that stored card on file.

John Shipley, SVP of Operations at Clearant, called the new solution “a way for us to offer even more value to existing users.” Shipley, whose firm has been a multi-year partner of CardFlight, praised the company as one that “always deliver(s) a winning product that just works.”

The release of SwipeSimple Customers follows the launch of SwipeSimple 5.0 last month, which provided features including the ability to pair cash drawers and receipt printers and a SwipeSimple Virtual Terminal with full Address Verification Service support for card not present transactions.

Founded in 2013, CardFlight demonstrated its payments acceptance technology, mobile payment infrastructure, and API/SDK at FinovateSpring 2013. The company includes 10 of the top 30 merchant acquirers in the U.S. among its clients, and more than 45,000 merchants in all 50 states use CardFlight’s solutions. CardFlight was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the top 500 fastest growing companies in the U.S., and the fifth fastest growing company in the financial sector.

CardFlight’s New Release Adds Paper Receipt Printing, Advanced Security, and More

Mobile POS and payment technology company CardFlight has upgraded its flagship SwipeSimple technology, announcing version 5 of the product this week.

The new enhancements, which will be available to existing users starting next week, are aimed to offer merchants more payment acceptance capabilities. Some of the updates include:

  • Paper receipt printing
  • Discount options that allow merchants to set up dollar or percentage discounts that can be applied to either specific items or an entire transaction
  • Item categories for inventory tracking and marketing insights
  • Favorites pages on the checkout screen that show frequently used discounts and popular items
  • Item images on the checkout screen to help quickly find items for a transaction
  • SwipeSimple Virtual Terminal that helps reduce fraud using full Address Verification Service (AVS) for card not present transactions

This release comes just after CardFlight updated thousands of card readers for more than 45,000 merchants currently using SwipeSimple to enable EMV Quick Chip for faster processing times.

“At CardFlight, we continually work to make SwipeSimple the best payment acceptance technology for merchants all across the country,” said Derek Webster, CardFlight’s founder and CEO. “We know that tens of thousands of businesses rely on our technology to run and grow their businesses. Releasing Version 5.0 of SwipeSimple demonstrates our team’s dedication to putting easy to use, efficient payment acceptance tools in the hands of our users.”

Founded in 2013, CardFlight serves 10 of the top 30 merchant acquirers in the U.S., reaching tens of thousands of merchants across all 50 states. To date, more than 93% of its merchant clients are EMV-enabled. The New York-based company debuted its technology at FinovateSpring 2013, showing off the first iteration of its API/SDK. Earlier this summer, CardFlight landed a distribution partnership with BoomTown.

CardFlight Teams with BoomTown

CardFlight Teams with BoomTown

Mobile POS and payment technology company CardFlight is expanding its product reach this week after landing a distribution partnership with San Francisco-based Boomtown.

The partnership will enable Boomtown’s U.S.-based merchant acquirer and independent sales organization clients to offer CardFlight’s SwipeSimple payment acceptance solution to merchants. An EMV capable POS system, SwipeSimple is available as both a mobile or countertop register version and comes with back office reporting software to help businesses manage their inventory and operations. The SwipeSimple Register version (pictured right) was launched earlier this spring and offers paper receipt printing, advanced discounting options, and more.

In the press release, Boomtown CEO Alfred “Chip” Kahn IV said that CardFlight is a great partner “because their technology exceeds expectations by combining advanced features, reliability, and simplicity.” Some of those features include leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy to support EMV and contactless payments, offering an app that allows merchants to use their own device for mobile POS, and using a virtual terminal for card not present transactions.

CardFlight CEO and Founder Derek Webster added, “The partnership between Boomtown and CardFlight is natural, because Boomtown is the leader in providing remarkable support to SMBs, while CardFlight’s payment acceptance technology was made with the needs of SMBs in mind.”

Founded in 2013, CardFlight serves 10 of the top 30 merchant acquirers in the U.S., reaching tens of thousands of merchants across all 50 states. The New York-based company debuted its technology at FinovateSpring 2013, showing off the first iteration of its API/SDK. In May, CardFlight announced another distribution partnership with payment technology company Paya. CardFlight has raised a total of $6.6 million.

CardFlight Teams Up with Paya to Bring EMV-Ready mPOS Solutions to Merchants

CardFlight Teams Up with Paya to Bring EMV-Ready mPOS Solutions to Merchants

Mobile POS and SaaS payment solutions provider CardFlight announced a new partnership with payment technology company Paya today. The agreement will enable Paya to offer CardFlight’s SwipeSimple payment acceptance solutions to its merchants.

Paya President Greg Cohen called SwipeSimple a “perfect fit” for its own payment services. “This collaboration allows us to offer our customers an advanced, secure mobile payment solution that helps answer many of their everyday business needs,” Cohen said. Paya has more than 100,000 clients who rely on the Reston, Virginia-based company’s adaptive solutions and two decades of experience in payments technology.

“Paya is one of the leading merchant service providers in the United States because of their commitment to arming their merchants with quality solutions and service,” CardFlight CEO Derek Webster added. “As the leader in EMV enabled card readers and payment acceptance solutions, CardFlight is happy to collaborate with Paya and provide SwipeSimple to their merchants.”

SwipeSimple enables merchant service providers, FIs, and independent sales organizations to offer their business customers a turnkey, EMV-ready mPOS solution. With CardFlight’s platform, Paya’s small business customers will get access to Bluetooth Low Energy or audio jack EMV Quick Chip, NFC contactless-enabled card readers; mobile and web apps to accept payments in-store or remotely; a back office merchant portal for business management and reporting; and a virtual terminal to enable merchants to accept CNP transactions using any device.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in New York City, CardFlight demonstrated its mobile payment acceptance technology at FinovateSpring 2013. With 15 of the top 50 merchant acquirers in the U.S. among its partners, CardFlight has more than 40,000 small business end user customers, including merchants in all 50 states. This spring, the company introduced countertop payment terminals for small businesses, and announced that more than 80% of its SwipeSimple merchants had been upgraded to EMV quick chip payment acceptance.

CardFlight has raised $6.6 million in funding and includes MATH Venture Partners and ff Venture Capital among its investors.
